Ze Copyright: Citing material from this blog

It might seem a bit dated in this world of social media, but since I earn my income from the hard work of putting words to paper and screen, I think it’s only fair that I get recognised for the wonderfully entertaining (or not) content I create. It’s blood, sweat and tears, I’ll tell you, and it would be even worse if I didn’t have a spell-checker. So please, spare a thought for the fact that I feed myself with what I write, before you just copy and paste my material.

When it comes to the blog, I don’t mind if you want to use any part of it, provided you don’t claim any copied material as your own and you make sure to properly cite what I’ve written. I’d be more than happy to create pingbacks and trackbacks to any work you produce, which builds on or references my material.

Hence, I hereby assert my right to be be recognised as the author of all the content on this site, in accordane with the Copyright, Designs, and Patents Act 1988, United Kingdom. All rights are reserved. No part of this publication may be reproduced in any way whatsoever, outside of the parameters I’ve set above.

  1. I am a freelance writer working on an article for Publishers Weekly on African crime and mystery fiction; would you be willing to answer some questions by email? Apologies for using this way to reach you, but I did not find an email address.
